Tree roots never map themselves before they grow, they simply reach into unmapped depths, branching wherever they sense possibility. “Brainstorm” paints that same blind, generative reaching, but inside the mind instead of the earth. Teal and emerald currents swirl and branch like neural pathways caught mid-fire, white ribbons of thought curling through deep green, tangled coral-like clusters blooming wherever two ideas happen to meet. At the center, a soft olive spiral glows quietly, a stand-in for the pineal gland, deep in the brain’s own hidden depths, the place ancient traditions have long pointed to as the seat of inner vision. Nicole Martin painted this as the felt experience of accessing that center consciously, deliberately, rather than waiting for insight to arrive on its own schedule.
